A conjunction joins ideas. And adds. But shows a difference. Because gives a reason. So gives a result.
1.Join the pairs
- 1. Add: Sam has a pen a ruler.
- 2. Contrast: Sam has a pen, not a ruler.
- 3. Reason: Sam stayed inside of the rain.
- 4. Result: It got dark, we went home.
2.Choose the conjunction
1. I took my coat ___ it was raining.
2. It was raining, ___ I took my coat.
3. I like drawing ___ I do not like painting.
4. I like drawing ___ I like painting.
